While I’m all about baking and cooking from scratch, sometimes we all just need a little shortcut when we’re really short on time.
Bisquick may be a staple in your household or during your childhood, but if you’ve never had it, it is simply a baking mix of flour, salt, shortening and baking powder. While it's normally used to make biscuits, scones, pancakes and waffles, I’ve put together 7 other ways you can use Bisquick without the guilt!
Here are the 7 nutritious, easy and delicious Bisquick recipes:
1. Bisquick Low Fat Blueberry Biscuits
We need to start with what the box was intended for originally: biscuits. These are fluffy, soft and oh so light!
Prep time: 5 mins/ Cooking time: 10 mins
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 1 1/8cups Original Bisquick mix
- Grated peel of 1 lemon
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoons stevia
- 1/3 cup milk
- ½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- Additional sweetener of choice, for topping (such as coconut sugar)
Instructions:
- Heat oven to 450°F first. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix Bisquick mix, lemon peel, cinnamon and stevia.
- Add milk and stir until well incorporated. Then add in the blueberries.
- Using a spoon, spoon the dough on baking sheet and Drop dough by spoonfuls on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle generously with coconut sugar or sweetener of choice.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden. Enjoy!

2. Bisquick Quiche
This healthy Bisquick quiche is the simplest and easiest way to make a delicious quiche. Whether you are a busy mom or dad on the go, or simply want to prepare a nutritious yet easy meal, then this one's for you.
Prep time: 5 mins/ Cooking time: 30 mins
Serves 12
Ingredients:
- 24 slices of bacon cooked, drained, and crumbled
- 2 Cups Swiss cheese shredded (about 4 ounces)
- 2/3 Cup onion diced
- 4 Cups milk
- 2 Cups Bisquick
- 8 Eggs
- Pinch of black pepper and salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray cooking spray onto a large (about 15-20 inch) pie plate.
- Add the bacon, shredded cheese and onion evenly over the plate. This is the base.
- Beat the eggs and sprinkle in salt and pepper. Add in the milk and the Bisquick and blend until smooth. Use a blender or fork, but make sure it is completely smooth.
- Pour the liquid mix over the ingredients in the plate.
- Bake in the oven until cooked through, about 35 minutes.
- Let it cool and then serve. Enjoy!

3. Bisquick Air Fried Crunchy Chicken Tenders
These crunchy chicken tenders are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They are super flavorful and definitely a crowd pleaser!

Serves 4
Ingredients:
- ⅔ cup Bisquick mix
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Pinch of salt
- ½ tsp paprika
- 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 1 egg, beated
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a large ziploc bag, combine Bisquick, cheese, salt and paprika.
- Dip the chicken strips into the egg then place them into the bag. Shake until strips are fully coated.
- Place strips onto the air fryer and spray them slightly with cooking spray. This will give it a nice golden color.
- Bake for 12 to 14 minutes. Make sure you gently toss the basket halfway through or flip them over with a fork. Once they are golden brown on both sides, take them out and enjoy!

Ingredients:
- 1 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs, divided
- 1 tablespoons low fat butter
- 1 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup 2% milk
- 1 cups cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
- 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup Bisquick mix
- 1 large egg, beaten
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425° Fahrenheit.
- Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Grease muffin cups with cooking spray. Sprinkle 1/8 cup bread crumbs into 18 mini-muffin cups.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and seasonings until smooth and whisk in milk. Keep stirring until it is boiling. Stir until thickened.
- Add in 1/2 cup cheddar cheese and Swiss cheese until melted.
- Remove saucepan from heat and stir in the biscuit mix, eggs and 1/4 bread crumbs. Add macaroni.
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of macaroni mixture into the mini-muffin cups. Top off with remaining cheddar cheese and remaining bread crumbs.
- Bake until golden brown, about 8-9 minutes. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

- After a couple minutes, flip the pancakes over when they are golden brown. Cook again for a couple minutes on the other side. Place onto a plate and enjoy right away!

6. Bisquick High Protein Taco Pie
This low carb, high protein taco pie will quickly become such a favorite that it will be the perfect addition to your weekday recipe rotation. It is high in protein, low in fat and mouthwatering!
Prep time 15 mins/ Cooking time: 30 mins
Serves 12
Ingredients:
- 2 pound lean ground beef
- 2 medium onion, chopped
- 2 oz of taco seasoning mix
- 2 cans of chopped green chiles (optional)
- 2 cups of milk
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup Bisquick mix
- 1 1/2 cheddar cheese, shredded
- Salsa (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray cooking spray onto a large (about 18-20 inch) pie plate.
- Meanwhile, cook the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat. Keep stirring until beef is brown. Add in the seasoning mix.
- Add cooked beef onto the pie plate. Top with chilies if desired.
- In a large bowl, stir milk, eggs and Bisquik mix together until well incorporated. Use a blender or a whisk to ensure it is completely smooth. Pour into the pie plate.
- Bake until a toothpick inserted comes out clean, about 25 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for a couple minutes more. Serve with salsa and choice of sides. Enjoy!

These soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies are guaranteed to make you hooked! The bisquick mix helps make this a tad bit more kid-friendly and out-of-this-world delicious!

Serves 12
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup splenda
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 small egg
- 1 cup bisque mix
- 1/2 cup sugar free chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray cooking spray onto a large (about 18-20 inch) baking tray. You may also just line the pan with parchment paper.
- Meanwhile, in a large bowl, beat the butter and splenda together with an electric mixer until fluffy. You can also use a whisk. Stir in the vanilla and egg. Next, gently stir in the Bisquick mix and beat until well incorporated. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Spoon dough onto the baking tray. Keep them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Do not over cook as the cookie will continue to cook as it cools. Place onto cooling racks after a couple minutes. Enjoy!
